Objectives

Increase the number of patients treated and, as a result, improve patients’ quality of life and survival rate.

Teva’s social business access program in Spain is dedicated to supporting people living in poverty, migrants, unemployed people and people experiencing homelessness or suffering from chronic diseases—who all need regular medication.

We partnered with Banco Farmacéutico to aid 1,000 pharmacies in covering co-payments for medicines—with an estimated reach of 585 underserved patients. Teva covers the co-payment when a Teva product is dispensed to patients meeting certain criteria.

Teva has committed to a three-year partnership to provide medicines for patients in the program. Since this is a social business program, we expect the program to continue as long as it is sustainable and meets the needs of patients and partners.

Results and milestones

Banco Farmacéutico reaches approximately 5,000 people a year.

In 2023, the program’s first year of operation, we reached about 600 patients, providing 225 products (51,000 doses).
