Advancing access to mental health care for uninsured and underserved patients in United States

The program promotes access to mental health care for patients in need suffering from depression and anxiety in California, Florida and New Jersey. The program included products donation as well as grant funding for innovative programs that advance health equity at qualified free and charitable clinics, which know the needs of these patients' best.

Objectives

Increase the number of patients treated and as a result, improving the patients’ quality of life and survival rate.

Teva has committed to a three-year long partnership to provide medicines for the patients in the program.

In partnership with Direct Relief and the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics, Teva launched a program to advance access to mental health care for uninsured and underserved patients suffering from depression and anxiety in California, Florida and New Jersey.

Teva donated generic medicines and $2 million in grant funding over two years for innovative programs that advance health equity at qualified free and charitable clinics, which know the needs of these patients’ best.

Results and milestones

In 2022, Teva announced the first round of eleven grant recipients and donated 3,177,960 doses of medicine (valued at USD $1.7 M).
